In class: everyone should be working on the graphic organizer for the short story "The Outcasts of Poker Flat" by Bret Harte. Read slowly and carefully, responding with textual information. You will be writing an in-class essay on Thursday and Friday on how this story is an example of realism. The completed graphic organizer is due on Wednesday. I will return it to you on Thursday. It will count as a writing grade, that is in the 50% category.
