Wednesday October 16, 2013 - Finishing the Rime of the Ancient Mariner

Today we are going over the follow questions in class:

  • How has the Wedding Guest been reacting to this strange tale?
  • Other than Confusion, what are some of the themes present so far in this poem?
  • If you had to write an essay about this poem, how would you set up your essay?
We're then going to aim to finish reading the poem aloud in class; hopefully we'll get some volunteer readers.

We'll be starting at line 377
Under the keel nine fathom deep,
From the land of mist and snow,
The spirit slid: and it was he
That made the ship to go.
The sails at noon left off their tune,
And the ship stood still also.
For classwork/homework we'll be working on the final Rime of the Ancient Mariner worksheet (click me)
